The advantage of Randwick trainer John O’Shea’s second stable at Hawkesbury was never more evident than today.

O'Shea won the Warwick Farm opener with lightly-raced three-year-old Destiny's Bounty , who made an impressive return to racing at his first start since January.

Nash Rawiller made the running in the Maiden Handicap (1200m) on the $2.80 favorite, who burst clear after straightening and had two and a half lengths to spare at the finish from $21 chance Dishin 'N' Dancin and debutant Asva ($4.40).

"Our Hawkesbury set-up is perfect for Destiny's Bounty," O'Shea said this afternoon.

"He has had a few respiratory issues, and the quieter environment suits him along with the fact he can go out into a yard during the day.

"Destiny's Bounty  is a little homebred by Headwater (he is the fourth foal of the unraced Lonhro mare Pretty Belle), and it was good to get a result for his owners."

Destiny's Bounty was the fourth recent winner from O'Shea's Hawkesbury stable – and the 150th trained out of the track so far this season.

"We've got 25 in work at Hawkesbury, and can pick and choose what we send there from Randwick," O'Shea said.

"Horses such as Destiny's Bounty are better suited, along with a number of young horses."

Destiny's Bounty was having his fourth start today after being runner-up at his first two starts at Gosford (December 23) and Warwick Farm (January 5) before finishing fifth at Canterbury on January 21.

He was given a break, and trialled twice in preparation for his resumption; winning his latest at Hawkesbury on May 30 over 1000m, defeating yesterday's first-up winner The Himalayas at that track.
