2022 VRC WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL – RACE ANALYSIS AND TIPS

Pace comes from Tuvalu crossing from the outside gate and tracking the free-rolling Serpentine over. Too Close The Sun and Edison will be pressing up there and Sir Davy can hold from his inside alley. TUVALU (12) has always been talented and looked to really put it all together here a fortnight back in the key lead up. High-rating win over a smart one and the wide draw can work for him rolling forward again. Showed last time that he can press on and keep going.

Expecting much better from DAWN PATROL (2) now. Found a pair of awkward scenarios in the spring but noteworthy that enough was thought of him to start 6-1 in the Feehan fresh. SIR DAVY (15) was no match for Tuvalu last time but had beaten the same smart horse two back after getting a soft run from barrier one and he is back drawn in there this time.

Big interest in the Derby winner SERPENTINE (1) who is clearly good enough if ready to go. Should press on and no shock at all to see him give them plenty to worry about. LOOKS LIKE ELVIS (5) and FRANKIE PINOT (7) will be out the back and running on. Chances with luck.
