Simon Zahra has decided to press on for one more start with Zac De Boss but concedes he is entering unchartered waters.

Zac De Boss will be aiming to make it three on end on the Flemington straight track when he runs in the Santa Ana Lane Sprint Series Final (1200m) on Saturday.

The four-year-old commenced his winning streak over 1100m on May 21 and followed up four weeks later to win over the same trip on June 18.

Those two victories followed a second to Beehunter over 1200m at Flemington on Anzac Day.

Zahra had contemplated spelling Zac De Boss after his recent success saying the gelding had been in work for an extended period.

"But there wasn't much around after Saturday," Zahra said.

"We let him get over that run, and he seemed to get over it quick.

"He worked super on Tuesday, and I've been really happy with him, so I'm happy to have a crack and then put him out."

Zahra said the field was quite even, with the exception of Savatoxl who must concede 6.5kg to all his rivals on Saturday.

And the trainer does not expect the 1200m to pose a concern.

"He's got good form up the straight, the 1200 (metres) shouldn't be a problem and he's drawn in the middle," Zahra said.

"He's in form and looks as good as he did two weeks ago, but the query is he's backing up a little quicker than what he normally does, but hopefully he's not as fresh either.

"I usually get a month in between runs, but this time it's just two weeks, but going up that extra 100 metres he might be able to relax that little bit early and have a bit more at the end.

"Then he can go and have a big holiday."
