Winning Trainer: Patrick Payne (owner Joe O'Neill speaking)

On the filly: She's a very, very good filly. We've had some great fillies and won some great races here over the years, a couple of years ago we had Rubisaki, but this is a very, very good filly and Paddy Payne had done a superb job with her.

"She's got a great pedigree, her second dam won an Australian Oaks, her mother won the Christmas Cup in Sydney and she's by Shalaa who stands at Arrowfield.

On how Prime bought her: "Billy Mitchell and James (Mitchell) found her and we had a good chat about her and decided to buy her and were lucky to get her for what we paid for her ($90,000) but I think that she'll go on and she could become a very very good three-year-old.

"We'll talk to Paddy and see what we do with her but we get these good three-year-olds every year, or we seem to, and we've got another really good one here and theres a couple more coming through the system so watch out for the 'rime team, we're here to stay.

On coming through the Elvstroem Classic: "It's been a great race over the years and a great form race. She beat the boys here today and she had to carry the weight.

"Billy Egan was caught three-wide but didn't panic, he just let her relax and got her into her rhythm and in the run home I always thought she'd run over the top of them.

"We've got a very high opinion of her and we have had from Day 1. Paddy said the first time he rode her, 'gee, this goes good' and you always get a feel when Paddy keeps riding them in work back at the farm you might have something that's just a bit special."

Winning Jockey: Billy Egan

On his association with the filly: "I had a lot to do with her before her first start, especially at the trials and all the jumpouts the preparation before that as well."

On what he told the owners post-race: "I said, 'I think you can aim at some Black Type over 2000 (metres) next spring if you like. She's going to be progressive enough and that's where you can aim."
