It'll be a short and sweet metro program for Queensland this Wednesday, with just six races will be run and won at Eagle Farm.

The rail will be out 9m and the track is currently rated a soft 5.
We've had a close look at all events on the card and our thoughts can be found below.
Race 1 - 2:18pm: SPRING CARNIVAL BOOK NOW QTIS 3YO MAIDEN PLATE SW (1600 METRES)
Misting was never in the hunt last time after settling a long way back over 1200m at the Sunshine Coast but she looks well suited here with the rise in trip.
Having her second race start, the Cosmic Force filly turned in last at the top of the straight but made good ground late down the centre of the track.
Fitter for the two outings, the step up to the mile looks ideal.
Angela Jones got a feel for her last time and she retains the mount for David Vandyke.

Race 2 - 2:53pm: XXXX GOLD CLASS 1 PLATE SW (1110 METRES)
Flying Aurelius has just had the one start for one win and looks to have plenty of upside.
Making his debut over 1200m at the Gold Coast, the son of Flying Artie wanted to race very keen through the early part, making it difficult for his rider but he still found enough over the final stages to get the job done.
He has since been sent back the trials where he looked to do everything right and cruised through the line under the hold in the 1000m heat.
Jimmy Orman will do the steering for Barry Lockwood and he's sure to afford him every chance.

Race 3 - 3:28pm: EVA AIR MAIDEN PLATE SW (1200 METRES)
Acapella Nova did a lot wrong when making his debut at Doomben a fortnight ago but the Tony Gollan trained youngster will be better for the experience.
Slowly away in the 1110m event he raced very green through the first half, losing ground and finding himself back at the tail as they turned into the straight.
When he balanced up, he let down strongly to run into third, with this final 100m particularly impressive, so getting out onto the bigger track here with the rise to 1200m looks ideal.
He gets a senior rider on, with Angela Jones to do the steering and gate five should see him settle within striking distance.

Race 4 - 4:03pm: AQUIS STALLIONS BM65 HANDICAP (1000 METRES)
Tiz Enuf makes her first appearance for the new stable.
Formally prepared by Anthony and Sam Freedman, the daughter of Rich Enuff has proven herself a very capable mare but has failed to finish to finish off in her two most recent runs.
Only lightly raced, she has recorded two wins in solid company and has been competitive at stakes level.
The 1000m looks to be her ideal distance and the tongue tie goes on for the first time, suggesting there may have issue there which was holding her back.
Ryan Maloney takes the mount for John Smerdon and if she can produce her best, she should prove hard to beat.

Race 5 - 4:38pm: u&u RECRUITMENT BM565 HANDICAP (1600 METRES)
Old Song drops back in grade and in a trip as she steps out for the new stable.
Now under the care of Scott Morrissey, the Sebring mare didn't have the best of luck over 2200m two runs back and last time at 2000m, she settled back off a slow start and was doing her best work late.
The form around her is solid and with a three a half weeks since her last run, the drop back to the mile should suit.
She does race well fresh and boasts a very tidy record over this trip.
Noel Callow takes the mount and if she can step away on terms, she'll be right there at the finish.

Race 6 - 5:13pm: LADBROKES ODDS SURGE BM68 HANDICAP (1400 METRES)
Sunlord was doing his best work late when resuming for the new stable and will relish the rise to 1400m.
After settling back in the field, he continued to race ungenerously and had nowhere to go in the early part of the straight.
The gelding will have taken good improvement from the run and did salute at his second up appearance last campaign.
Formally trained at Randwick, he has performed consistently throughout his seven start career and boasts solid form around him.
He gets a senior rider back aboard, with Jimmy Orman taking over and with luck from the draw, he'll be strong late.
