Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 25.
Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Randwick, Caulfield, Eagle Farm, Morphettville and Belmont.
RANDWICK: RACE 2 @ 11:35 AM
DEFICIT (2) was a clear eye catcher last start when dragged back from the wide draw. Wasn't suited by the race shape and was doing his best work through the line. Sure to appreciate the step up to the mile and should prove very hard to beat. INDIFFERENCE (4) is unbeaten this time in and while stepping up sharply in grade, he is on an upward spiral and is in the right stable to make the jump. JOURNALISM (5) stuck on well enough last start and should prove hard to get past in the straight. CAESARS PALACE (1) the best of the rest.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Deficit.

CAULFIELD: RACE 2 @ 12:25 PM
GHAANATI (3) is a very promising filly who busted the clock on debut at Flemington, smashing a couple of fillies I have plenty of time for. If she repeats that performance she'll be hard to beat, if she improves off it she should blow them away again. SHE DANCES (5) was a dominant winner on debut at Sandown when able to dictate. Not sure she gets that control here but she looks smart. NIXIE (15) broke through for a deserved win last time and might be able to go on with it now.
SELECTIONS: Ghaanati to win.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 9 @ 4:37 PM
The last time KING OF SPARTA (8) raced in Queensland he ran on hard to win the Magic Millions Guineas. He is a progressive gelding who races well at this distance and has yet to miss a place fresh. He will be ready to go off two Sydney trials. SHOOTING FOR GOLD (5) caught the eye running on to be beaten 1.4L in the Moreton Cup last start. Has a 50 per cent strike rate here and has won three of five attempts at the distance. He is ready to peak fourth up. RANGES (4) dug deep to win at Listed level last start in his first visit to this venue. Proven third up so could go on with it. ALPINE EDGE (12) is another that is now race fit now and he hasn't been far away this campaign while BALLER (1) cops a big weight but is still a player off a G2 win.
SELECTIONS: King Of Sparta to make a winning return.
MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 1 @ 11:32 AM
NO DRAMA (1) has to be respected having his first run in Australia but did only win an 800m race at Riccarton on debut. THE GUAVA (2) wasn't far off Eros when they met and atoned with a win at Casterton since so must have some hope. TAPINFORPAR (7) gets the benefit of an inside draw on debut. PRANCE 'N' DANCE (5) a value player second run from a spell.
SELECTIONS: No Drama to win.
MORPHETTVILLE: RACE 6 @ 2:27 PM
Backing two here, with SACRED PALACE (5) looking a rightful early favourite after closing off well at Caulfield last start. He drops 4kg off that effort and a testing 1200m on wet ground looks ideal. OUTLAWS REVENGE (1) was outclassed in the G1 Goodwood two starts ago but bounced back with a strong win last time and can win again despite the rise in weight. AIGUILETTE (8) will get back again but can win if things go his way. EXTRA TIME (4) was poor last time behind Outlaws Revenge when well fancied and it wouldn't shock to see him improve.
SELECTIONS: Backing Sacred Palace & Outlaws Revenge.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 4 @ 1:49 PM
BITOFMERIT (5) is an exciting type unbeaten in two starts. Sat on pace to win on debut then came from near last and was too good again. Nice soft trial leading in and sure to be hard to hold out. BOPPING BLUE (2) was consistent in town last time in then resumed with an easy Pinjarra win a few weeks back. More than capable of going close here. FLYING MISSILE (1) worth including.
SELECTIONS: Bitofmerit to win. Trifecta 5-1,2,7/1,2,7.
