Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 28.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Ballarat, Taree and Townsville .
BALLARAT SYNTHETIC: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM
ROSE TYCOON (2) won here last start fresh-up and in her limited number of starts has shown that she has ability. Well placed here to score again. SISTINE EXPLORER (5) with three seconds from her last three starts is well overdue a winning turn. Hard to see her not figuring in the finish again. ENIGMA (1) only finished seventh over 1100m last start in what was her second run back from a spell but should be a lot fitter today and has each-way claims in a field that suits. MOSS JOB (3) is in solid form having placed in her last four starts which includes a victory over 1200m two starts back. Races well over today's race distance having recorded three wins and two placings from nine starts and should be adding to that record today.

MADIBA ROSE (9) has been consistent without winning hitting the top five in all six career outings to date. Has placed two from two around this track, draws the inside alley and gets plenty of weight relief with the 3kg claim. Ticks all the right boxes. MR EIGHTY EIGHT (3) has been knocking on the door with seven runner-up finishes from 11 starts. Can run a race while fresh. MASLINA (10) has placed around this track and gets the services of Buckley. In the mix. AL BE PURPLE (1) has placed over this journey and is one for the multiples. SONNY (5) strips fitter third-up and can earn a cheque.
SELECTIONS: Madiba Rose to win.
TOWNSVILLE: RACE 8 @ 4:50 PM
PROXIMATE CAUSE (9) races handy and is ready to win third-up off strong efforts. He has more up the sleeve and can control the race. Hard to beat. LIGHTHORSE LAD (7) will also be fitter and was beaten 1L the latest this grade. He looks back on track and is also a player. HEIRBORN (6) has switched from a sharp southern barn and been trialled twice. Rates well at best and Butler's booking suggests he's pleasing. Will race over further but needs to be kept safe. THERESABEARINTHERE (10) has returned to racing in solid order. He can build on that but needs some luck skipping over from the awkward barrier.
