Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 30.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Hawkesbury, Bendigo, Ipswich and Northam.
HAWKESBURY: RACE 1 @ 12:15 PM
AWESOME WONDER (7) can turn the tables here on Our Bambino. Held up badly last start before powering to the line strongly. The booking of Pike is a big plus and she should get a good run from an inside draw. OUR BAMBINO (1) came with a barnstorming run down the outside with the big weight to score a decisive win last start. No surprise to see him win again. STELLA GLOW (3) is chasing her 3rd straight win but jumps in grade and onto a good track. VYNER (4) is racing well including a last-start win over 2000m at Wyong, getting home by 2.5 lengths. Well placed to go back-to-back.

BENDIGO: RACE 2 @ 1:00 PM
ALL SHE WROTE (6) looks well placed here. She closed off well for second at Wangaratta on resumption and will strip fitter. Her efforts last time in read very well for this and she should go close. DARCI'S DEBUT (7) was okay on debut at Ballarat and has been given time to mature, looms as a danger. PHILADELPHIA FREE (3) was just fair first up but is better suited to the rise in trip today. WHISKEY CREED (5) might be the blowout if looking for value- he's handled heavy well in the past.

IPSWICH: RACE 9 @ 4:34 PM
GHOSTWRITER (6) is in good hands and has been saved for this race from a winnable alternative assignment. Has been beaten a whisker his last two (at Doomben and the Gold Coast) and count on Loy to give him a good ride from the sticky gate. In good hands and this looks ideal. JETFOIL (8) resumed a comfortable Maiden victor at Doomben and five winners have come out of that. He's just missed the two since at this level and is a danger with Byrne using the advantageous gate. PRICKLY POPPY (13) was out-graded at Listed level following the comfortable Maiden win at Doomben and wasn't beaten far the latest. In the mix. LEAVE ME ALONG (3) peaks for a strong barn with a handy 2kg claim and the distance lift will suit. Keep onside.
SELECTIONS: Backing Ghostwriter to win.
NORTHAM: RACE 5 @ 2:55 PM
LOOK UP (3) looks one of the better chances on the card after two good runs to start his career, the latest over 1400m at this track, beaten as an odds-on favourite. Looks primed third up. FRUIT LOOPS (1) showed nice improvement last time at Pinjarra on heavy ground, running a narrow 2nd. Looks well placed here. EEE PEE CEE (7) wasn't far away as favourite on debut and maps for a soft run behind the speed. Looms as a big danger. AIDAN'S CHOICE (2) finished ahead of Eee Pee Cee on debut and will take running down from the inside draw.
