Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Swan Hill, Grafton and Tamworth.

SWAN HILL: RACE 1 @ 1:30 PM

OPPORTUNITY MISSED (10) carried some support on debut and did well to finish fourth. She has been given time to get over that effort and will strip much fitter for this. The mile will suit and she looks to be the hardest to beat. POWER OF SONG (11) has improved with each run this time in and will only get better as the distance's increase. She is likely to get back from the wide draw but should be finding the line strongly. Watch for her late, MURRAY FACTOR (6) got a bit too far out of his ground last time out at Bendigo and was making up many lengths late. He shouldn't be a maiden for long. TAVERN MUSIC (12) is still learning what the racing game is all about and has the scope to improve. A better effort can be expected today. Include in all multiples.
SELECTIONS: Opportunity win bet.

GRAFTON: RACE 6 @ 3:10 PM

The well-related MAXCALEMMA (1) got the job done here last time out and will have taken plenty of confidence from that victory. Has never missed a drum in three starts around this circuit and is clearly the one they have to catch. AVENUE OF STARS (2) had been thereabouts in recent outings before breaking through in dominant fashion at the Gold Coast last start. Can go right on with the job now. WONDERWHEN (9) is yet to miss a place in six career starts and is a must for the multiples. SHOWS PRIDE (15) has placed three of his past five and is drawn to get a cosy run from gate two. In the mix. SAILING (7) was a touch disappointing last time but the form prior was good enough to feature in this. Pay to forgive.
SELECTIONS: Maxcalemma to win.

TAMWORTH: RACE 4 @ 3:25 PM

ROYAL CONFESSION (13) just missed here before the spell recording a peak effort. That sets him up well for this and he owns a sharp trial. Gets a low gate and the top hoop is booked. JOCAT (1) is a stablemate and missed 1L first-up at Scone. Has more to offer over the longer sprint and can race handy and be right in the finish. FLYING SQUAD (8) just missed at Quirindi improving. Peaks now and can make the finish with average luck. LAGO DI BRAIES (4) placed on debut off a string of strong trials and fitter can't be ruled out.
SELECTIONS: Backing Royal Confession to win.
