Australian TAB meetings are today held at Bendigo, Kilcoy, Devonport, the Sapphire Coast, Alice Springs, Bairnsdale, Port August and Northam.

DEVONPORT SYNTHETIC: RACE 4 @ 2:00PM:

SPIRITED TOFF (1) led and was grabbed in the shadows at the track and distance last time. That race was run slightly quicker than the maiden of FANCIFUL FLYING (5) on the same day. She absorbed some early pressure but held the challengers at bay in the run to the line. That form can be franked in the previous race. BELMISTA (3) wasn't beaten far last time, enduring a torrid run after being caught wide for most of the race. GEE GEE REAL DEAL (6) has been OK in a couple of Launceston runs since she resumed. She was ahead of BLACK EAGLET (2) who only ground to the line on a rain-effected track in Launceston and may appreciate the rise in distance.

SELECTIONS: Spirited Toff to win.

BAIRNSDALE: RACE 4 @ 2:55PM:

RED ON RED (3) doesn't win out of turn, scoring just once from 12 starts but he is racing quite well, having just been run down late first up. Should be fitter and can win. MISS BANK PLACE (9) finished sixth but wasn't beaten far at Geelong last time and will find this a touch easier. SPIRIT OF GIVING (6) knuckled down strongly to get within a head of the winner last start over 1100m at Kyneton. Will be winding up late. WANT TO DOO (4) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a spell, the latest when fifth over 1200m at Pakenham but should peak here and can win.

SELECTIONS: Red On Red on top.

PORT AUGUSTA: RACE 5 @ 3:33PM:

GRIMESY (3) has ability and comes off a good effort when 2nd behind Bunumburt at Penola. He draws out but should take some beating here. RELAXED (7) has been placed at his past four starts, the latest behind Near magic at Port Lincoln. He draws the inside and should give this a shake. ALKAAMEL (6) was narrowly beaten at Streaky Bay two starts back and can measure-up here. IT'S MAGIC (4) was runner-up at Ceduna three starts back and has been placed here previously. WHITCHETY GRUB (11) ran OK at Oakbank three starts back and can run into the multiples.

SELECTIONS: Grimesy gets his chance.

SAPPHIRE COAST: RACE 6 @ 4:07PM:

With ALAN (7) in a competitive race. He's been busting to win and missed 1L the latest from the speed at Wagga. Draws to advantage and likes this track. MITTATA (2) led placing at Canberra first-up in better class. She's fast and draws a low barrier. She has more up the sleeve and fitter will go close. SESTINA (3) has been racing well at lesser venues but she's got competitive figures and a handy 2kg claim. Can't be ruled out. PUNKZY (5) wasn't disgraced behind a good winner at Canberra last time out and be about the finish today.

SELECTIONS: Leaning to Alan.

KILCOY: RACE 8 @ 4:20PM:

HABIB (1) was back to his best last start at Dalby with a commanding off the pace win, he was a hot favourite that day and gets to stay in the same grade. He is only up half a kilo in weight after the apprentice claim and though dropping 200 metres in distance he gets the blinkers applied and should still be too good. On top. ALEXANDRA ROAD (4) led all the way last start when clearing maidens at Gatton. She was a fast finishing runner up when fresh up on this track and should have no problem measuring up in this next grade. Include in all multiples. FLICK (11) has opened this term with back to back wins in lesser company. His last win was very good and he shouldn't be overlooked in this field. LOBURN LASS (2) probably wants more distance but has been a winner fresh up in the past and should be hitting the line strongly. Watch for her late.

SELECTIONS: Habib win bet.

BENDIGO: RACE 8 @ 4:50PM:

PHOENIX GLOBAL (3) looks to get a few things in his favour in pursuit of three straight wins. He should get the perfect run on speed from an inside draw and he handles the sting out if the rain arrives. This trip is ideal, he loses nothing with Meech going aboard and looks the one to beat again. DIVINA CALLE (9) is lightly raced and progressing nicely. She impressed two starts again when breaking her Maiden coming from well off the pace before backing that up last start in town with a solid fourth behind the handy Ceasar. She should be thereabouts at the finish. MARKETING (1) ran an encouraging placing last start when resuming down in grade which suggests he could be in for a good campaign. ATOMIC SELFIE (5) looked good when beating a stakes winner in a recent trial at Wodonga and can run a bold race first-up.

SELECTIONS: Going with Phoenix Global to make it three on end.

ALICE SPRINGS: RACE 8 @ 4:55PM:

SUPREME TIMES (13) is looking to make it five in a row after another win here last start as the $2.10 favourite. Looks one of the leading chances and it's hard to go past him on recent efforts. TANNER (12) has won his last three starts which were all recorded at this track over 1200m. Jockey Sonja Wiseman is back in the saddle and this runner won't be far away at the finish. DEVIL'S TEMPTATION (6) resumed from a spell here last start over 1000m and won easily enough to be expected to go close to recording another victory today. OUR LUCA (10) started at $1.70 last time out but disappointed badly to finish last of six runners, he won well here over 1000m two starts back and on that run can atone today so don't overlook his chances.

SELECTIONS: Supreme Times To win.

NORTHAM: RACE 7 @ 4:20PM:

The feature of the day. ELITE STREET (1) is the class of the field and naturally looks well placed, as he does anywhere in Western Australia. He's won first up in the past and the 1100m suits him better than 1000m. He'll enjoy the hot tempo and be hard to hold out late. INDIAN PACIFIC (5) isn't hopeless. He flies fresh with three wins from five starts and has trialled very well leading in. His best is good enough. COMFORT ME (9) should run well fresh although may find the 1100m against some pure sprinters a touch sharp. LAVERROD (2) is a handy horse who ran fourth in the Winterbottom before a spell, finishing close up behind Elite Street so we know he's good enough.

SELECTIONS: Elite Street & Indian Pacific to win.
