Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 14.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Scone, Wagga, Ballarat and Dalby.
SCONE: RACE 7 @ 3:40 PM
BAY OF KOTOR (9) resumed further improved beaten a whisker at Goulburn. Has the rail today and can use it. The top hoop goes on and she can go one better. BEL SUONO (11) didn't have the best of it from the wide gate at Goulburn but the Maiden with there prior was easy and she's worth another chance. FINAL STATEMENT (3) won the Maiden first-up as expected from the front and has trialled at Randwick since. Lightly-raced and is capable of lifting into the finish. JUTLAND (1) is capable and brings solid trials to resumption. Has the 3kg claim in easier and is worth a look.
SELECTIONS: Backing Bay Of Kotor
As a FREE Racing and Sports offer, below is the Scone Computer Card.
WAGGA: RACE 3 @ 2:10 PM
DISTILLATE (3) loves this sprint trip with two wins and five placings from nine attempts and rarely puts in a bad effort. Definite threat. The well-related SEVENTH SEAL (6) has gotten better with every run this time in and has placed three from four over this course and distance. Top-three conveyance. CARDIFF (1) has won first-up before, draws the inside alley and gets 3kg off with the claim. Ticks a few boxes.
SELECTIONS: Distillate to win.
BALLARAT SYNTHETIC: RACE 1 @ 1:00 PM
RAIN LORD (9) started favourite on debut last start in a similar race to this and did a great job to get up for a close second after blundering out of the gates then being held up at a vital stage. If he gets the start right today he should be going one better. ROSALIA (6) improved sharply last time out when second-up from a spell, recovering quickly after a poor getaway to box on well for second over this course and distance. Draws a decent gate for the first time in her career - just needs to get the start right. RUCARA (7) raced wide and just whacked away without threatening on debut at Stawell. Open to plenty of improvement from a better gate this time. First-starter STONE QUICK (8) has been kept safe in early markets. Watch the betting.
SELECTIONS: Keen to be on #9 Rain Lord.
DALBY: RACE 4 @ 1:57 PM
GRINZINGER KNIGHT (1) was back to form with a vengeance winning on the poly by 11L lifting to the middle distance. The former Victorian has even stronger figures on the grass this distance range and can go right on with it. FOXY ROSE (8) was tracking well before the latest in stronger. Has a wide gate but is speedy and Fradd replacing the apprentice is a plus. She can make the finish. DELAYED LAUNCH (2) will be fitter and the longer journey will suit. Draws handy and is a chance. ICE ELITE (3) is also third-up and has more up the sleeve. He has to be considered as well.
SELECTIONS: Backing Grinzinger Knight.
