Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Pakenham, Corowa and Scone.

PAKENHAM SYNTHETIC: RACE 6 @ 3:30 PM

PETRUCHIO (1) he is battling for form this time in and takes a big drop in grade for this assignment. He has won on a synthetic track in the past and if he is anywhere near his best then he'll be just too good for this lot. MAUI (2) seems to cope with any surface and is working his way through the grades nicely with two wins on the bounce. This is another step up but in his current space he is capable of making it a hat-trick. SURETHING TO WIN (10) finally delivered on her promise with an emphatic maiden win on this track last time out. She is taking quite a big leap in class here but gets in with a light weight. Her astute trainers wouldn't risk her if she wasn't capable. Watch closely. SURIN BEACH (8) is as game as they come in this grade and is worth including in all combinations.
SELECTIONS: Petruchio win bet.

COROWA: RACE 2 @ 1:40 PM

LENSMAN (2) has hit the top four in all three career starts to date and strikes a very winnable contest here. The step-up to the mile looks ideal and Miller was on board for the last-start placing and sticks. Shapes as the testing material. SILVER CANVAS (5) strips fitter second-up, draws low and gets 2kg weight relief with the claim. Hard to ignore. MODERNISSIMO (3) brings Victorian formlines to the table and a watch on betting is advised. WHITE SPICE (14) has placed one from one around this circuit and draws the inside alley. One for the multiples. The well-related EXTASSY (8) is best of the rest from the Hayes camp.
SELECTIONS: Lensman to win.

SCONE: RACE 4 @ 2:35 PM

PACHECO (2) fought on strongly to finish fourth last start and with blinkers fitted today should go very close to taking this race out. FIRST MOVER (8) disappointed last start when finishing eighth at Dubbo over 1010m but is better than that and should be given another chance today to atone, don't dismiss this filly's chance here. GOTTA FLY (12) finished fourth in a recent trial and is expected to go a bold race on debut, include in combinations. SELECTIONS: Pacheco to win.
