GRAFTON: RACE 4 @ 1:05 PM

DURNSTEIN (1) was a solid third over this track and trip on debut and has since been given time to furnish. Drawn perfectly for Looker in gate three and will be right there when the judge calls a halt. The well-related and well-bred LA SOEUR (7) is at the races for the first time but has shown ability in two Gold Coast trials and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Respect any betting moves. REALLY MOTIVATED (10) resumes here but looked handy in both runs before the spell and should run a race while fresh. NO NAY SELL (2) has race experience over a lot of these and can earn some minor money. SELECTIONS: Durnstein to win.

KALGOORLIE: RACE 4 @ 2:55 PM

LONG WEEKEND (8) is a former NSW galloper who was good resuming at Belmont and then built on that beaten 1L there in a CL3 and that stacks right up. Gets some weight relief and fitter the speedy galloper rates to go one better. HILTON (1) seeks the hat-trick and was heavily-bet this grade the latest. Has a handy 3kg claim today and drawn low again should go close. LOVE DRUNK BABY (4) led and won the CL2 improving again. He will ride the speed from the low barrier and will give a sight. JAKESTAR (2) hasn't been far away since the CL5 win and the 3kg claim brings him into it. SELECTIONS: Backing Long Weekend to win.

KILCOY: RACE 3 @ 12:46 PM

COURTINGROCK (8) just missed last time when second over 1000m at Sunshine Coast. May appreciate the longer journey this time. Sure to feature again. MR LANNIGAN (6) returned from a break with a solid fourth, winding up late at the end of 1100m at Dalby after settling well back. Rates highly and expected to go well. STIRLING DIVA (12) is back from a spell of nine months. Closed last prep with a seventh, beaten 14 lengths, over 1625m at Toowoomba. Is lightly raced and looks forward enough after a solid recent trial. Everything points to a big run. BEYOND THE SEA (7) finished 11 lengths adrift in ninth last time at Beaudesert in a disappointing performance. Should park just off the speed. Should give backers a sight. SELECTIONS: Courtingrock to win.

MUDGEE: RACE 4 @ 1:58 PM

ZIPPY POWER (5) is another strong winning chance for the lethal Bullock-Lees linkage. Won at Port Macquarie as expected and then was on-speed and only run over late at Scone. Draws the rail and should be bouncing back. CAREERING AWAY (1) deserved the win this grade at Dubbo. Gets in well with the 3kg claim and is fast enough to make short work on the awkward gate. On the 7-day return and can be in the finish again. HEMSTED (4) would be competitive at best and comes back in grade. Has the 2kg claim and the middle distance should suit. CORVO (2) was tracking well before the two plainer efforts at Dubbo. Has the 3kg claim and a better effort is anticipated. SELECTIONS: Backing Zippy Power to win.

PAKENHAM SYNTHETIC: RACE 1 @ 11:05 AM

EROS (10) clearly on top here. He's been scratched a couple of times recently, likely looking for a dry deck which he gets here on the synthetic. His first up run at Sale was excellent and he should prove too classy for these. EXTRA SMART (5) is a Capitalist filly on debut for the Peter Moody stable who must be respected on her home track. TOUCH OF PATIENCE (3) was good running second last time and can fill a placing again. SELECTIONS: Eros to win.

WARRNAMBOOL: RACE 3 @ 1:50 PM

ST ARNICCA (3) impressed two starts ago when only going down narrowly in the Galleywood behind star Jumper Saunter Boy over the course and distance. He looks well placed to score a feature race win and appeals strongly each way in early markets. BIG BLUE (2) turned around a disappointing effort in the Galleywood first up with a strong win last start. The wetter the better for him and can figure in the finish again. BEE TEE JUNIOR (1) is on the comeback trail and whatever he does here he'll only improve on. He's too good to leave out. BLANDFORD LAD (4) is showing good promise over the obstacles but doesn't want it too wet. Keep safe. COUNT ZERO (6) was only run down late last start over the course and distance and although this is tougher he can't be entirely ruled out. SELECTIONS: St Arnicca appeals each way in early markets.
