Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Cranbourne. Grafton and Townsville.

CRANBOURNE: RACE 5 @ 3:00 PM

MINOLA (9) scored at Pakenham three runs back and subsequent performances at Sandown have been excellent. Looks nicely placed in this line-up and won't be too far away. MARCHONS ENSEMBLE (3) chased gamely but was no match last time out at Sandown. Has been racing consistently and should again make a bold bid. HERMAN HESSE (1) looked in need of the run when returning at Caulfield and wasn't disgraced. Rise in trip here suits and forward showing is expected. SIGN SEAL DELIVER (4) won well at Mornington before setting a solid tempo and tiring last time. Is better than that and a better showing is on the cards.
SELECTIONS: Back Minola to win.

GRAFTON: RACE 3 @ 2:10 PM

MAJORELLE (14) is a consistent conveyance who is yet to miss the top-four in four career outings. Has placed three from three over this sprint trip and will be at peak fitness now fourth-up from the break. Rates the testing material. ALLIED COMMAND (1) resumes here but has revved up for this with a recent Beaudesert trial win and can run a race while fresh. Former Victorian HANDSOME FIGHTER (3) is having his first run for the new stable and a watch on betting is advised. BETTER THAN BOOZE (2) wasn't disgraced on debut and will have taken a lot of benefit from that race day experience. Can improve enough to feature.
SELECTIONS: Majorelle to win.

TOWNSVILLE: RACE 6 @ 3:10 PM

BOONA BOY (5) lifted to this distance range and showed much better form placing at 70 level. That reads well and with the claim gets 7kg weight in this grade. He's the one to beat. DEADLY DIVA (6) won the 65 here from the back spiking her figures to a new level. Obviously enjoyed the heavy track and some rain is forecast race-day. The lift to the middle distance shouldn't bother. BERING SEA (2) needed the first-up run (at a mile) as the market suggested. He'd be in the finish at best and the on-pacer can make quick improvement. PLAY ME NOW (1) tries hard and got closer the latest. Has won this trip and is in the mix.
SELECTIONS: Backing Boona Boy to win.
