Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for August 2.

Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Moruya and Warwick .

MORUYA: RACE 3 @ 2:10 PM

VICTORY AT OMAHA (4) led and kicked away to win strongly at the Sapphire Coast last start and the time backed up his impressive performance. Drawn ideally to find the front once more and the heavy track won't matter. He looks very hard to beat. LOAFING (2) should have finished much closer last time out and Penza replacing the apprentice is a positive sign. Should be able to find a good position in running and storm over the top of them. CHOCCY GAF (5) steps up to the 1625m for the first time after sticking on gamely to be beaten 1.3L in BM70 level most recently. He's ticking along nicely and is sure to make his presence felt. KING CHARLES (1) broke his maiden in good style at Kembla Grange last start and is worth plenty of thought. VIKING POWER (6) wasn't far away during the Grafton Carnival and must be kept safe.
SELECTIONS: Victory At Omaha will be tough to beat.

HAIL TO THE CHIEF (2) finished last campaign with a couple of minor placings, the latest over 1625m at Toowoomba nine months ago. Sure to be right there at the business end. JACK BE LUCKY (1) was an effortless winner last time over 1100m at Toowoomba, scoring by 5.5 lengths. Up in the weights. Expected to cross from wide out. Expecting a bold showing. BOOM BY BY (6) is coming off his maiden win last start over 1200m at Toowoomba, scoring by 0.8 lengths. The same jockey Jake Molloy is back aboard. Has found winning form and is sure to be in the mix. CALGARY KING (4) ran a solid second first-up and has good second-up stats.
