Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Canterbury, Belmont, Cranbourne, Ipswich, Morphettville.

CANTERBURY: RACE 5 @ 3:45 PM

BARTOSELLI (5) has been right there at his past couple in Saturday Midways and looks to be nearing another victory. Has placed two from three over this course and distance and his only win did come when Rawiller was in the saddle. Can break through for win number two. HELL I AM (11) saves his best form for this circuit with a win and a second from just two attempts and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. Expected to be in this for a long way. LE VIZIR (3) was a dominant Newcastle winner last time out and will have derived a lot of confidence from that victory. In the mix. OVERLORD (4) has a handy record over this journey with two wins and two seconds from seven starts. Serious contender.
SELECTIONS: Bartoselli place heavy.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 3:40 PM

ZERO CONSEQUENCE (1) is promising and missed a lip at Northam before the 1L defeat here this trip in stronger than this after a slow off. He will want to jump with them from the low gate but has a 2kg claim today and is ready to win. MONG KHON (5) improved again just missing at this level. Uses the rail and is a player. INAHAPPYDAZE (8) has threatened the last three at CL1 level. She will run along and sits on the limit. Gets another chance. PAMBELLA (2) has more ability than the form-line suggests. This class suits better and she's worth keeping onside.
SELECTIONS: Backing to Zero Consequence.

CRANBOURNE: RACE 7 @ 3:55 PM

Race of the day. THE AWESOME SON (5) was well held at Flemington last time but that was in tougher company and it is the run prior that really highlights him as the horse to beat in this. He rattled home at Sandown and stamped himself as a coming winner. This is the ideal race to come good on that. ATTENTION RUN (1) also looks ready to knock one off having run second to the same winner as The Awesome Son at Sandown. That ties them together and says there isn't a great deal between them. ANGELIC SCENT (7) is racing well and her ratings stack right up. Have to think that she is competitive along with SIGN SEAL DELIVER (4) who can get the front and be hard to get by.
SELECTIONS: Like The Awesome Son into what looks the ideal race.

IPSWICH: RACE 8 @ 4:38 PM

NEVER PAID (2) didn't have the best of it at the Gold Coast as a 15-8F seeking the hat-trick off spacious wins. Has the speed to clear the awkward gate and Orman for the apprentice is a key jockey switch. Has weight relief at this level and rates to bounce back. LASTING KISS (4) was only beaten 1.6L here first-up this grade well supported and has more to offer. Has won 2/4 second-up and the blinkers are on first time. Maloney sticks and a quinella hope with the extra fitness. THE BILLIONAIRE (7) ran his best race winning the CL3 here over a shorter sprint. Was on-speed and wide and it was a tough effort. That stacks up and he's sure to give a sight. POETIC CHOICE (12) resumes off a nice trial and goes fresh. Should secure a soft run and won't be far away.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Never Paid.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 4 @ 2:30 PM

RUN AND TELL (1) goes close if at his best. He comes here on the quick turnaround after fading at Murray Bridge last Saturday in a stronger race. His run prior for second at this track and distance in a much better contest was excellent and if he can repeat that he'll win. DAWNBURST (7) found trouble last start at Murray Bridge but was coming along well prior and is worth another chance. SMART CHARGE (4) got a long way back last start but draws better and can improve sharply. MAGICLANE (3) was an all-the-way maiden winner two back before struggling at Gawler. She rates as a place chance here.
SELECTIONS: Run And Tell to win.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 6 @ 3:40 PM

EXALTED RUTH (2) comes here second up after a solid third at Murray Bridge over 1800m on resumption, which was her first run for a new stable. She can only present race fitter and will find this easier. Top pick. TRUMPSTA (1) drops back from 2200m in a tougher race last time out and strikes a very winnable race here. MULGA LIL (7) was good in the same race and has claims while HOUSE SPOUSE (3) has been costly but is certainly a leading chance if he can find his best for a new stable.
SELECTIONS: Exalted Ruth & Trumpsta quinella.
