Listed racing for the 3yos heading into Winter feature at Belmont this weekend.
While there are some decent fillies who may stay going forward, surely Searchin' Roc's has to be the one in the Belmont Oaks.
The winner of the WA Champion Fillies then ran a very creditable race in the G1 Kingston Town Classic.
From a spell, and over distances which would appear short of her best, she has run well but is now primed to explode.
Fourth up with a big ratings gap on rivals, she is so well placed at the Set Weights scale.
Realise we aren't getting great odds but she looks too good.
We could be going off one run too soon but Last Of The Line can build on a top first up effort over a better journey.
The son of Blackfriars is a stakes winner in the past and has obviously had some reasons for just two runs in 12 months.
He came from last, after being eased early, when some ten lengths from them at halfway. But then he eased out and really found the line nicely.
That will take some rustiness out and you'd hope he'd sit closer with the weight from the barrier.
Hopefully they forget his past where he goes well following a run and look more at the weight imposed.
