Sydney Specials: Rosehill - 21st May 2022

3 minute read

Very much struggling to get enthused by the races on Saturday, it’s a low meeting at Rosehill.

No prizes for finding Quintello, but she is clearly the best bet on the program.

She went like a rocket first up at Mornington before repeating the dose at Randwick last start over 1400m.

Quintello returned a new career peak and the second placegetter Elusive Jewel has since come out and run well, beaten narrowly behind Solar Apex.

Steps up in grade but looks to have beaten the handicapper, she just needs to overcome the wide draw.

Tommy Berry takes over and hoping she can find a position midfield in the running line, with even luck she should have too much in the locker.

Inside 2-1 at this stage which I think is fair enough, on weight adjusted ratings I could mark her odds on.

I thought the same last start and they ended up betting 5/2 – let's hope it happens again.

The Team Snowden trained Dynasties sets up the market in the sixth event as while a good winner last start, as a three-year-old filly they haven't missed her with 59.5kg.

The James Cummings trained Dhakuri was good late first up at Gosford and looks much better placed stepping up in trip on Saturday.

He has won four of six attempts over this trip and has placed at all three attempts at Rosehill.

A key booking with Bowman aboard and he should get every chance from the inside draw.

Looks well placed at the weights and a great bet at his each-way quote.

Simon Dinopoulos' Tips:

Race 6 #9 Dhakuri @ $9.00
Race 9 #13 Quintello @ $2.50
