It is Belmont Classic day as the young stayers get a last chance at some black type action for the season.
This may seem a bit silly but we're going for a filly against the boys who was beaten out of a placing in the Oaks.
Flower In The Wind missed away and only tacked on at the mile mark of said Belmont Oaks.
She had no run in a small field which does happen. Held up all the way until the furlong, she was full of running and might have won with luck.
This time around she looks like she would love the 2200m and if the track is rain affected, that will not hurt being by Sebring.
Happy enough to take the gamble in what really is an open race even with just eight runners.
Another obvious play but has to be so hard to beat is Phanta in the race prior.
He was excellent first up from the break leading all the way and putting a gap on them.
OK it wasn't a great race run at midweek level but he must have done well to be running so soon from that spell.
He cruised in the lead over the 1300m and the added ground is no problem. The winning margin should give you confidence of that.
After the claim that day he had 61kg and is down some 3.5kg from that on Saturday.
This is clearly a tougher race but when they win like that, progressing that way is the best time to try.
