The classic is run at Morphettville this Saturday as the South Australian Derby takes centre stage.

We can't tip Illation this time around but boy oh boy does he look like a talent for the now and the future so he surely wins the Adelaide Guineas.

We'll suggest a couple of each way plays this week with the first of them coming up in the BM82 sprint as Capriccio heads over from Melbourne.

This mare has been just behind some of the nice black type winners at Flemington and while the results page doesn't read overly flash, most were better races than this is.

Two lengths off Halvorsen in the Standish would go mighty close to winning this handicap.

She is from a stable in nice form and has a jockey with recent G1 winning form as well who will let her get back and swoop home.

In the following race, we may see a similar method attempted. Calypso Reign looked very good when resuming.

Off running well in the Listed Adelaide sprints around the end of last year, he couldn't get into a Melbourne race thereafter.

But off a break he kicked off at Morphettville and charged the last bit to win when well in the betting.

David Jolly has a large team engaged here but he's kept Kayla Crowther on Calypso Reign and she has been in ripping form.
