Eagles Crag can atone for a narrow and luckless first-up defeat when he lines up for his second Queensland outing at Doomben on Saturday.
The gelding was unlucky not to score when resuming for the new yard as he was held up before going under by just a nose over 1500m at Eagle Farm.
Eagles Crag strikes at 50 per cent when second-up so will be improved and his best results have come at the mile.
He is drawn to get the favours so can go one better.
Ratings suggest Lubrication will be tough to beat when he resumes earlier on the program.
Matthew Dunn's gelding tackled stakes races over the winter carnival - placing at Listed level - and has been gelded since then.
He draws the inside for James Orman and has been tuned up with placings in two recent trials so will be ready to fire.
