A stable switch from the Maher/Eustace operation to Gary and Dean Alexander at Gawler saw Blood Sweat Tears take out the opening event of 1400 metres at Morphettville on Saturday.
Resuming from a spell the Barend Vorster guided Blood Sweat Tears was well placed and finished the event off in a tight finish.
The tight finishes continued when the David Jolly prepared Miss Langtry was declared the winner of the 1250 metre second race.
Having the services of apprentice Lachlan Neindorf Miss Langtry came from a near last position with a withering run over the concluding stages to score a last stride win.
