Guided to victory by Jake Toeroek, Aitch Two Oh  was one of the first to begin and maintained a forward position before going on to score her third win from four starts.

Craig Williams brought up the second leg of an early double when Splendiferous took out the Listed Port Adelaide Cup which was run over 2500 metres.

A resident of the Flemington stable of Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott Splendiferous settled well before getting to the front at the 600 metre mark and going on to win.

Seradess gave Craig Williams his third winner for the meeting and a running double when the three-year-old filly took out the Group 2 Tobin Bronze Stakes which was run over 1200 metres.

Prepared at Flemington by Mark and Levi Kavanagh Seradess brought up her fourth win from nine starts when she led all the way.

The Angaston stable of Tony and Calvin McEvoy featured in a Group 2 win when Silent Sovereign won the 1600 metre Queen of the South Stakes.

Having the services of John Allen Silent Sovereign, who was coming off a last start third at Oakbank, came from a rearward position with a strong run over the concluding stages.

Trainer Chris Beig laned one of the most important wins in his career when Free of Debt took out the Group 3 D C McKay Stakes which was run over 1100 metres.

Resuming from a spell the Dom Tourneur ridden Free of Debt began well, drifted back to a midfield position before coming with a late run in the straight to win.
