Morphettville Parks Races on 23rd July 2022

The Ballart stable of Andrew Noblet drew first blood when Bookman took out the 1550 metre opening event on the Parks track at Morphettville on Saturday.


Coming off a previous start fourth the Todd Pannell guided Bookman  came from a midfield position to bring up his second win from eight starts in a photo finish.

Cashin' Chex made it consecutive wins when he took out the 1550 metre second race.

Continuing the good run of trainer Ashton Downing the apprentice Ben Price ridden Cashin' Chex came from last with a strong run late in the event.

The father and daughter training combination of Richard and Chantelle Jolly continued their outstanding run when Perfect Illusion won the 2250 metre third race.

Ridden by Jake Toeroek Perfect Illusion  came from a better than midfield position to win.

Although he run unplaced Flow Metre had plenty of admirers when he finished the race that was named in his honour safely at his 200th and final start.

Todd Pannell brought up his second winner for the day when he rode Eros to a win in the 1000 metre fourth race.

Coming off a last start second the Anthony and Sam Freedman prepared Eros was on the pace throughout the event.

Resuming from a spell River Twain brought up his second Morphettville win for the calendar year when he took out the 1250 metre fifth race.

Coming out of the Cranbourne stable off Mick Price and Michael Kent junior the apprentice Ben Price ridden River Twain was in the first three throughout the event.

Resuming from a spell and coming out of the Murray Bridge stable of Daniel Clarken and Oopy MacGilvray Quietly Discreet was successful in winning the sixth race for the day.

Giving Todd Pannell his third win for the day Quietly Discreet settled in fourth place before getting to the front in the straight and going on to score her fifth win from fourteen starts.

Todd Pannell landed the second leg of a running double and his fourth win for the day when Knightstown won the 1250 metre seventh race.

Prepared by Gordon Richards and Damien Moyle Knightstown came from a worse than midfield position to meet with his first success in 330 days.

Trainer Will Clarken celebrated the opening of his new stables at Sellicks Hill when his charge Short Stories won the 1300 metre eighth race.

Guided to victory by Eran Boyd Short Stories came from a midfield position to bring up his second win from his eleventh start.

Apprentice Ben Price landed his third winner for the day when he rode Tupoleu to a win inn the 1400 metre final event.

Coming off a last start second at Gawler the Stuart Gower prepared Tupoleu came from a better than midfield position to win.
