West Indies Deandra Dottin dismissed both Welsh Fire's Australian imports in successive balls to set Manchester Originals on the way to victory in the Hundred.

Australians have been key figures in many of the Women's Hundred matches in this second season of the English short-format competition, but it was a West Indian who dominated at Old Trafford as Manchester Originals beat Welsh Fire.

Barbadian Deandra Dottin hit 67 off 37 balls, then dismissed Fire's Australian pair Rachel Haynes and Annabel Sutherland in successive deliveries.

The former Perth Scorchers and Brisbane Heat all-rounder ended with two for 21 from 15 balls.

Haynes pulled a full toss to mid-on having hit 11 off her previous six balls. Sutherland then chipped the next delivery to New Zealander Amy Satterthwaite at mid-wicket.

Put into bat on Monday Originals began slowly. But Dottin and England's Sophie Ecclestone added 62 off the last 31 balls in an unbroken partnership to lift them to 2-156.

Alex Hartley, with 1-17 off 20, was the pick of the attack. Sutherland was among the bowlers taking punishment conceding 33 off her 20 balls for the wicket of Lizelle Lee (35).

Fire began well, but fell behind the clock after Hayley Matthews, another Barbadian, was bowled by Ecclestone for 69 off 41.

When Haynes and Sutherland went 0-110 had become 3-123 and 34 runs were required off 17 balls.

With opener Tammy Beaumont (45 off 42) struggling to time the ball Fire never looked like making, closing on 3-143 to lose by 11 runs.
