3 minute read

Whitney Hillier's team has finished third in the Aramco Team Series event in London, with the Australian tied for 10th in the singles competition.

Whitney Hillier will be looking for a big final round to climb up the leaderboard in the singles competition at the Aramco Team Series event in London.

The Australian narrowly missed out in the teams' competition on Friday when her quartet finished one shot behind the joint leaders.

Now she will turn her attention to the singles on Saturday where she is tied 10th at the Centurion Club.

The 31-year-old from Geraldton in Western Australia opened with a 70, but followed up with a disappointing 73 on Friday to slip down the field.

Hillier is six behind Englishwoman Hayley Davis, who leads compatriot Bronte Law by two after carding a round of five-under 68 to be nine-under.

Three behind Davis is Caroline Hedwall and Georgia Hall.

The teams' competition will be fought between Team Wikstrom (Ursula Wikstrom, Julia Engstrom, Maria Hernandez and amateur Laurent Dhaeyer) and Team Garcia (Nicole Garcia, Kelly Whaley, Madelene Stavnar and amateur Mia Baker).

Both teams finished on 27-under-par and will playoff for victory.

Team Hillier (Hillier, Krista Bakker, Lisa Pettersson and amateur James Carson Heard) finished third one behind after a 14-under second round.

"I have loved this week. I was very happy to get Krista as my team pick and I have got good vibes from her and she has been playing great and made a lot of birdies the last couple of days," said captain Hillier.

"And to meet Lisa as well and James our amateur - he played well too. The team played great, and we had a lot of fun more than anything. I have really enjoyed myself."

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
