Thoughts on the win: “Lovely win. He came here ticking a lot of boxes. He was fit, back on top of a dry track. He's been struck with wet tracks as they have in Sydney of late and he broke his maiden on a good four. I thought back on a firmer deck is a big positive, rock hard fit as I said fourth up and he’s drawn well. He jumped away nice and I sort of anticipated being a pair closer but I wasn't too worried because I thought He Is was the main horse to beat and he was just in front of me. Things opened, he travelled for a long way into the straight. Once he changed stride 100m upon straightening, he just gave me a good kick and felt like there was no signs of stopping. It was a nice win and he’ll have no trouble running over further down the track.”

Thoughts On Three Wise Men and racing further into the Winter Carnival: “Edward (Cummings) and the team know the horse better than me and what his capabilities are, but he put a field of in form horses away pretty easily. Given he switches off, he does a lot right to win a nice race over a bit of ground.”

On his season to date, highest career season strike rate so far, 50th season winner: “It's been a frustrating season if anything. I started off by missing the first three and a half months of the season suspended and then recently four weeks due to suspension. I've only ridden half of the season but it's been great winners-wise and support. So I've just been trying to make my opportunities count.”
