“It’s amazing if you listen to them (horses) what they’ll you. We ledhere two starts ago and it just didn’t suit him. He was a bit weak late but we changed tactic with Jimmy’s advice, gone back today and he was very strong.

“That was actually a better win than it looks. The whole family, when they hit the line (front) they switch off and when he got there a bit early I was thinking that he won’t put in his best over the last bit and he just sort of was a little bit plain late but that was just him knowing he had the job done.

The ride: “It was a great ride. I heard David Fowler say that they’ve really walked in the middle stages. (and) Jimmy took advantage of that. He’s a great jockey. (He) sneaked up, gave himself every chance and got the job done.”

Winning Jockey: Jim Byrne

“They thought he was too far back the other day but he just never handled the track at Doomben. Back on top of the ground, firmer footing, he appreciated that.”
