Winning Trainer: Annabel Neasham

“I was expecting him to improve for getting him back on a better surface. First-up at Rosehill it was a very testing track and it was hard to make up ground that day. His work was very good through the week.

“In the run I was a bit worried. He looked fairly disinterested. He was being nudged along but it was a great ride from young Jaden. He was patient even in the straight.

“He was patient with him and the gaps appears and it was great to see him put them away.”

How he got to her stable: “I think he was just looking for a bit of a change of scenery. A couple of horses have come our way from Highclere and I’m very grateful to them.

“Tony Fleiter, from Highclere, unfortunately his wife passed away yesterday so Jaden was sporting the black armband so we send him our best wishes and condolences and hopefully that has put a bit of a smile on his face today.”

What’s next - Cups: “He’s shown he likes Eagle Farm and I don’t think he’s going to find a dry track in Sydney at the moment but we’ll look in the book and I think there is a race in a few weeks for him.”

Winning Jockey: Jaden Lloyd

“Super. Horse did a tremendous job to come from that far back. Big thank you to Annabel. She really got this horse going well.

“The were going quick and I didn’t want to get him out of his comfort zone and I always knew that I was going to catch up to the field.

“When I niggled him up he quickened nicely so he can go on from here.”

Track: “Felt good. It’s got a nice bit of give in it. Should play fair.”
