“What a sweetheart. She’s had a lot of health issues early in her career with knee chips and what not but this time she’s loving her racing and I said to the owners this morning that I couldn’t believe how much she’d improved from the other day how well she won here.

“They even commented when she was parading and I had to agree with them.

“I think the race panned out nicely when Le Palmier went as fast as it did it sort of played into her hands lovely.

“It doesn’t always work out like that and she was good and she was able to take advantage of it.”

“She did run very fast time here last Thursday so I think she’s in a good vein of form.”

Prefers 1000m: “Possibly. She ran second to Wisdom Of Water over 1300 metres and she should have won a Magic Millions QTIS race over 1300. I just think she’s a very good galloper and anywhere from 1000 to 1300 suits her nicely.”

Sam Collett: “Going great. It was very straightforward and there wasn’t a lot of instructions. I said to put her in the race and she’ll do the rest for you.”

Winning Jockey: Samantha Collett

“Wasn’t that fantastic. I won the race and stayed clean!

“This mare, she put up a really solid win last start and I was able to use her good speed and set off for the red hot leader. He really had us chasing.

“It worked out perfectly for me and my mare. I was able to camp off them and she worked through her gears to the line really well.”

The track: “They’re going to get their toe into it. We’ve had an enormous amount of rain here but the beauty of being here is that we know its not going to be bottomless. You’ll probably see horses getting away from the inside.”
