Winning Trainer: Chris Waller (Stable representative Brett Killian interviewed)

Thoughts on the win: “It was a good, tough effort, a mile-and-half on a real bog track. He really was in for the fight today. It's probably been his most productive preparation. He’s just getting in the with lighter weights in these races and he's really appreciating it.”

“He's an old pro. He had the run of the race. Mark (du Plessis) knows him, Mark has won a race on him on a heavy track before so he knew the conditions wouldn’t bother him.”

Winning Jockey: Mark Du Plessis

Thoughts on Stardome and his association with horse: “I think it's just the case of getting on the horse at the right time. And I've done that twice now. Thanks to Chris and his team. He is a, tough fit, really good in form horse that I wouldn't say relished the going, but his fitness has got him home.”

Thoughts in run: “He was just beautiful. He was off the bridle, but I had him there whenever I wanted. Youngblood had me in trouble I thought at one stage and then I thought the second horse had me in trouble, but he just kept putting his head out, which is the main thing.

Thoughts on the track: “It's going to be a long day for those that don't get through it. It's very sticky. It is definitely worse than an (Heavy) eight.”
