Winning Trainer: Olivia Cairns

“It’s been a big week. It’s a real relief. Magical, magical, great ride.

“I was worried he was going to get stuck behind slow ones but he got out when he wanted to.

“He goes pretty good. He has all this campaign. I was quietly confident but always need luck.”

Previous run - bad luck in running: “The form around him has gone on, too. He’s raced great all campaign.

“We had this (race) in the back of our mind last year and just can’t believe we’ve pulled it off.”

Winning Jockey: Justin Stanley

“It’s a great concept by Racing Queensland. I was lucky enough to win the first one with Olivia as well. I was probably more confident coming into this race.

“He was probably the best horse in the race. He’s been placed here a couple of times and it was going to be if I could keep in touch and not get too far out of my ground then just have a bit of luck coming to the turn and once I got out I was confident.

“You couldn’t have scripted it better. You’ve to plan in your mind how you’d like the race to pan out and it pretty much worked out exactly as I’d hoped. Really happy.”

How they’ll celebrate tonight: “I don’t know how they’ll celebrate but I’ve got to ride 55 (kilos) tomorrow so I’m going really quiet.”
