“He’s a lovely horse. He had really good form in WA and he came here for some beach work - we had to change it up a bit - and it has worked a treat.

“We’ve been doing a bit of jumping with him and Will gave him a lovely ride. He let him use that big stride he has and he was pretty dominant.

“He had to lump plenty of weight and Will is a very good claimer, took the kilo-and-a-half off but the way he won he probably would have won without the claim but it was nice to have it.”

“He was super. I was really happy with his run at Geelong and it was really good of Lindsey to keep me on today. Very thankful for the opportunity.

“He just traveled nicely and when we got outside the leader I was just happy to sit there. On straightening, he was just super. He did it with the ears pricked. Really good.

On the track after the jumps races yesterday: “The inside is getting a bit of wear and tear which is understandable. It is quite soft out there but it’s holding up quite nicely.
