Winning Trainer: Danny O’Brien (Matt Harrington representing)

“Giving him a freshen up between runs is really helping. Four weeks and the six weeks to this one. He’s been scratched a couple of times because of wide gates and firm ground but we waited and Trevor (Delory) gave us that opportunity to wait and we’ve been repaid today.”

Association with Trevor Delroy: “He’s been with us for a bit over twelve months and he’s really going well. Confidence is probably the key with the horse but he was given a great ride. He’s led at his past couple (of runs) but today Ben thought there was a bit of speed so he just parked off them. He was the horse you wanted to be on and he got there in the end.

Distance suits: “It looks like it but if we get him to 2000 metres possibly to have a look as he gets older and a bit more mature with it. He’s winning at the moment so you can’t look past what he’s doing.”

Stable performances towards the end of the spring: “It was a little frustrating. We ran third in the Derby, second in the Oaks and got nosed out of the Matriarch so it wasn’t all bad. Obviously off the back of the spring before, it was such a big  year so it was down from that but we were thereabouts again and will be going forward.”
