“It’s good to get the 50 (metro wins this season). Everyone works very hard. Well done to everyone at Lindsay Park.

“I love seeing Daniel have success. He’s been working really hard. He’s been coming in a couple of mornings a week to ride trackwork and to get these rewards is really good for him.

On the win: “We’ve always liked her. She’s always shown ability but we haven’t been able to get at her. She’s just been a bit immature in her shins, She’s been in and out (of work) a couple of times but we’ve managed to get her to the races today.

“Her build up to the race was excellent and it was great to see her do it today, and on soft ground. I actually think she’ll be better on top of the ground.

What’s next: There’s no real plan with her at the moment. We’ll see how she pulls up. There might be one more run in her or we might tuck her away.”

Winning Jockey: Daniel Stackhouse

“She got through it (the wet) really well. I trialled her and she gave me a really good feel. This is what we were waiting for. It was a bit of query of the wet though but she got through it. There’s a bit of class about her.”

Mick Price on beaten favourite National Choice: “It was a sit and sprint race and Damien said that it just wasn’t suited to that from where he was. He didn’t want to go around them so he tried to go ‘through’ them. It was still a good run.”
