“We’re thrilled. The win the maiden and then follow-up with a win after that, as we know isn’t easy. But to win four-in-a-row, she’s going so well.

“It’s even better that I part own her with good friends and my wife. I was a bit worried midrace that the heavy track might get the better of her as she didn’t look to be travelling. Then Jye got going on her and I changed my mind.

“She’s done a tremendous job so far. We’ll look at giving her a short break - not sure how long but whatever we do she’ll handle it and we’ll look for something in the spring.

Responding to Jye’s line about being worried about getting back on the horse: “Jye was probably always going to get the ride back. It was the right thing to do. He’d ridden her in her first two wins and Dwayne (Dunn) was aboard when Jye was suspended. Morally we had to get Jye back again.

“He’s a good local Cranbourne boy and he’s riding really well.”

Winning Jockey: Jye McNeil

Thoughts on the win: “It was a great effort. I think the biggest asset of hers which we’ve found out about this preparation is she likes heavy conditions. It is going to take her a long way in her racing and she has been going from strength to strength. Well done to all of the team involved.”

On his association with Bless Her: “I was a little bit worried I was going to lose the ride when Dwayne (Dunn) was able to jump aboard last time. Through being able to ride work I was able to get back on her and I’ve got to thank the team very much for that.”

Moving forward: “I think the plan from here is to have a little bit of a freshen up and perhaps target something over the spring. Hopefully she can pick something up (black type) it would be nice.”
