Margins: 1-1/4L x 3-1/4L

Winning Trainer: Phillip Stokes

Merit of the win: “He was good today, he’s going super, Jamie gave him a beautiful ride. He summed it up good. We thought he’d be a bit closer but they ran along at a good tempo and he got him to relax. Heavy track, dry track it doesn’t matter.

Horse himself: The staff have done a really good job with him. He can be cantankerous, he’s a tough high horse, a really hard horse to train. His first run he had to go back to the trials (barrier) Foer him to be doing what he’s doing is really good

Future plans: “He’ll go up to the farm now and we’ll just keep placing him. It wasn’t a bad field today and he just played with them.

Winning Jockey: Jamie Mott

Secret to riding at Pakenham: “Just ride for Phillip Stokes really but it’s a beautiful track. They went quite solid then and all my work today on him was to get him to relax. I was a little concerned I was a fair way off them, but when I gave him a squeeze he deadset went past them like they were nailed to the fence.”

Similar feel to Cranbourne albeit different conditions: “He did. Most people thought it was the heavy 10 as to why he won so well. It wasn’t a bad field today and he played with them. He definitely on the way up, let’s hope he can keep this roll going.”
