“The way she is going about it has been quite impressive. She’s always been a really nice filly and I always believe that with a bit of time and care and with a proper racing pattern she’d get to something like city level.

“I was happy with the ride. It was what we asked. She drew a bit of a sticky gate so we went back but I couldn’t see her halfway up the straight but she put in the big ones late. She’s a nice filly and I think she’s going places.

“I’m going to have to watch the replay. I stopped watching halfway up the straight.

“She’s going to continue to get better. I’m really fortunate to have a really great bunch of owners that have let me do whatever I want with her and they’re getting the spoils today.

“We gave her a couple of weeks off after her win at Hamilton to target these off-season winter races. There’s a race at Flemington over 1400 metres in a couple of weeks and I think that will be right up her alley. Then we’ll see where she gets to.”

Winning Jockey: Will Price

“She was super. She looked great in the mounting yard today and she got the job done.

“We know that she used to race a little but upside down but her last couple of runs have been great She’s been able to settle and she did again today which was good. I knew that they’d roll along early. They backed it off in the middle stages for that breather but I still wanted to get to the widest part (of the track) even though she came under pressure just because I knew that they’d be compounding late with how quickly they’d run along early.”

Going wide: “It wasn’t necessarily the track, just how the race unfolded. I didn’t want horses coming back into my face and I’d have to stop-start. We wanted clear air on her and she was too good.

“She’ll work through her grades and she’s put the wiring on the wall for the last two starts and for her to win like that under pressure for the last 400 metres turning in, for her to finish like that was super.”
