“Technically it really was her first-up run today. We just wanted to forget about last time four weeks ago. She hated that track and pulled up muscle sore so we took our time. Today’s race was probably a little short for her and she struggled to keep up early but she showed a very sharp turn-of-foot and she was impressive today.”

“She was really good today. There was a lot of speed early. She actually jumped well but then they quickened from the gates a little bit better than we did. We just had to niggle at her for a little bit. I didn’t want to get ‘up her’ so she was at top pace the whole way but we were able to take on nicely and get onto the back of Rainbiel.

“I was really happy at that stage that we had a nice run to follow into it. Danny (O’Brien) said this morning that she might look around if you get there too early. She did and was too good.

“I think she was having a bit of a stargaze late and I got there a bit earlier than I wanted to. I wanted to lay her out a bit and she’s still working out how to put them away properly. For her to come out and win like that and still do a few things wrong was a good effort.”
