“I thought his win on Memsie Day was very good and that win then was just as good. Didn’t he try hard, he was really tired after the races so it was a big effort from him.

“It wasn’t how we thought things would pan out. They went very slowly. He was loving leading and was really comfortable.

“I was worried about getting beaten, I was just hoping that I wouldn’t. I felt very confident through the whole race but when they change the pattern it isn’t always ideal.”
