Winning Time: 1:48.73  Last 600m: NA

Margins: Short half-head x 1-½ L

Winning Trainer: Matthew Dale

The win: “He’s been racing so well this preparation without any luck. I had runners all over the country today - Brisbane, Sydney Albury and here and I thought he was due, winkers going back on and back to the track and distance he last won at, albeit over one thousand days ago so a really good result, well rated by Linda.

Winning the race: “A shout out to Bim (Gary Fennessy), he’s a legend around here and he’s always helped me out whenever I’ve come down here. They’ve always been helpful to me (Lindsay Park) and chatting to Ben (Hayes) before he wished me the best of luck

Winning Jockey: Linda Meech

Gaining the ride: “I couldn’t tell you, I don’t like troubling my manager too much, I just leave him alone and he rang Mark (partner) and said he thought it was a good ride. I probably should chase things a bit harder but I’m happy with the way things are going.

The race: “I wasn’t worried about what time I was running, I was more about keeping him in a happy place. He was lovely and relaxed, he probably caught me by surprise as how much horse I had left and how good he quickened at the top of the straight, I wasn’t expecting him to pick up that much but he put a few lengths on them and got left there a little bit longer than I would have liked.
