On the win: “Dream Thoroughbreds own this horse and it’s an all girl syndicate and they’re pretty excited so well done to them. It was a big weight difference in the turnaround with Award Winner and our horse - last time they clashed it was a six kilo weight turnaround so we were confident today she was going to run well, she had definitely come on from the run at Moonee Valley, she was luckless there

On the horse: “She’s a mare that has improved in leaps and bounds. Her form lines are great and she’s run in some nice races, it’s hard to say, she needs to keep improving but she’s heading in the right direction. She’s just a tough honest mare, she’s very small and got a lot of quirks about her but full credit to her.

On the mare: “She’s been great, she’s a horse that always tries her absolute best and it’s a massive credit to Amy and Ash. Her first start we thought it was a fluke when she came out and ran second but I don’t think it was. She might not be blessed with too much ability but her guts gets her over the line and it’s great to get a Saturday win with her.

On the one ride at Flemington: “I’ve been trying to concentrate on riding a winner in town , I want to establish myself as a Saturday jockey and it was a no brainer to come and ride her today.
