“Willie described how he was going to ride it and it panned out exactly that way. It was a brilliant ride.
“It was only because of the slower speeds in Perth that he was able to, in races where he has been off the speed, he has been able to come home really well. Through advice, knowing the tempo would be a lot stronger over here, he’s just relishing it.
“We’ve got a sneaky thought of heading to The Goodwood on the way to Perth. That’s one plan but we’ll see how he pulls up. He’s had a long campaign.”

“He’s a nice horse. I think he’s only just starting to settle into racing. I don’t know him too well, I’ve only had the two rides, but I suppose he didn’t quite know his job earlier on. He’s a bit older now.
“I think the trip away seems to have settled him. Fingers crossed that has done the trick and fingers crossed he’ll be destined for a few more.
“I was confident (in the run) but we were sort of out on a limb. I had cover for half the race so I’ll claim that.”
