“(This race) just jumped out on paper for her when we were looking for a race. She’s definitely shown she’s up to this class all the way through and last prep.

“(Teo Nugent) rode her absolutely spot on and couldn’t have put her in a better spot. She just relaxed beautifully and was able to finish off late.

“I’d just like say well done to Ken King, it was his birthday yesterday.”

What’s next: “The Proud Miss in two weeks time in Adelaide, we’ll try and get some black type for her.”

Winning Jockey: Teo Nugent

“She began from the gates very well. Going back in her past she has never been the best at getting out of the barriers but this prep around she’s learning to jump and take it all in her stride.

“Coming out of that last run at Caulfield, the Super VOBIS race, she put the writing on the wall there. Three-wide no cover most of the trip and still reeled off good sectionals with an 11-second split late. So coming here today she put me in good stead. I thought she’d have these covered.

“Once she began from the gates and landed in that one out-one back position, she took me the whole way down the straight. I didn’t want to get there too early and show her up too much.

“She’s got a beautiful engine underneath her and I must say a big thank you to Ken King and Kevin Corstens for giving me the opportunity late and it’s great to repay Ken who has been a big supporter of mine.”
