“He’s a very progressive horse. He’s put a lot together since his last start but he’s still got a lot to go.

“Last start he was obviously very green so I was quite keen to get a bunny (to chase) into the straight today.

“I expected there to be a bit more speed out wide to come across but in saying that they did go slow but he did show a really nice turn-of-foot and once we straightened up he knuckled down he was very good to the line.”

His 20th flat winner this season: “I haven’t been in the flat riding ranks for long so this is my first season that I’ve really given it a proper crack with a manager. I’m really enjoying it and working hard and getting the rewards.”
