“Great, really rewarding for the owners. A very frustrating horse. He never gets good barriers and hasn’t had much luck for a talented horse and I think for the job it has done today after a couple of hundred metres we knew that a different horse had turned up today.

“He was on the speed on a big track and Jye gave him every chance.

“He comes here in good form off a couple of unlucky runs. This horse, two years ago he was running in the Guineas and he’s always run well in nice races. I think he was third in the Bendigo Guineas two years ago.”

Mosh Music in Bendigo Cup: “Very plain. Disappointing run. We’ll speak to the connections and weigh things up but I wouldn’t be going to the Melbourne Cup off that. We’ll regroup and see.”

Winning Jockey: Jye McNeil

“First time I’ve been on him and he gave me a lovely feel to the gates. A lovely style of horse. Arche said he’s been getting a little too far back in his races and setting himself a bit of a task.

“We were positive from the barriers. I wasn’t trying to be outside the leaders. Probably more looking for a cart just off the speed. I rolled forward from that awkward draw and the leader wanted to go a bit quick so we just sat off it and he came up and joined in nicely.”

Bendigo Cup placing: “H-man” knocked me off but nonetheless my horse ran well. It was a steady enough day for me. I had nice rides and I’m glad it all came together here.

“I’m as rapt as I can be for him (Harry) when you get beat. We’re best mates so it’s good that when you can’t win, he can.”
