On the win: “She was brave, she didn’t get much of a rest from the gate. I just said to Jamie I’ll leave it to you which we did, she’s a filly that we’ve had a few problems with pacing herself . It was good once she found that spot she didn’t over do it.

On stablemate Jagar (5th): “I think she’s looking for 1400 (metres) or 1600, she was a bit fresh first-up at the 1000, today she was off the bit and chasing but good late.

On the win: “I said to the owners beforehand this is either going to end well or really messy (the draw)but she jumped and just put herself there. In the end we got into not a bad spot from the gate and I was really impressed with the way she dug in - I felt like she was emptying out on me the last 100 metres but she just kept finding - she’s a tough little horse
