Winning Trainer: Chris Waller (rep by Jo Taylor)

“He was the absolute professional. He came here on Monday to have a look at the course and Brett got off him and said ‘you know what, that was sensational’.

“You wouldn’t say that it was his first time around here and he showcased that tonight. There were definitely a few hairy moments where we thought that we weren’t going to get luck but Brett seems to find the gaps when he needs to and it was fantastic to see him get the job done.

“I’ll worry about keeping nice and healthy and tucking him into bed tonight and leave the programming up to Chris. He sure looks like a horse that has a lot of upside to him.”

Winning Jockey: Brett Prebble

“He’s a really nice colt, he’s still a little bit inexperienced.

“Didn’t jump as good, I sort of popped him in on the rail and there was a big gap to the front horse and he really wanted to chase that and make that ground, just a little inexperienced I suppose.

“Once he got on the leader’s back and was right behind him, he was nice, very tractable and there was a bit of jockeying going on out there. Once he got the split and he had his own running he was too good for them. He’s a really nice horse, he’s got a lovely nice action on him, he’s a good little sprinter in the making.”
