Winning Trainer: John Sadler (rep by Mick Nolan)

“He’s very good, especially the way he relieves your heart when he wins. He’s a very promising young horse and very gratefully to Legend Racing for giving us the chance to train him. He looks like he’s got plenty of upside and looks like he’ll make a nice sprinting three-year-old.

“He probably does it a bit too effortlessly early which causes him to cruise at the top of the straight and that made him look weakened up at the finish. But when he harnesses his energy he’s going to be a very good horse.

“We’ll just enjoy this and get over all the pressure he’s brought with him this week (expectation over such a fancied favourite). We’ll see what happens.”

Winning Jockey: Michael Dee

“He’s pretty smart and there’s still plenty of upside with him. He’s learnt a lot from his first start. Today he just wanted to overdo it a bit early.

“For how quick he goes early he does an amazing job to keep running that strongly to the line.

“I still thought he had the class (towards the line) but he’s a very smart horse on the way up but for the first half hopefully he can learn to relax a bit better than what he showed then. He’s certainly on the way up, that’s for sure.

“What he’s showing now is raw ability and he’s probably  one that every time he steps out, even in trackwork gallops, he’s still learning each time.”
