Winning Trainer: Ciaron Maher & David Eustace (Lucy Yeomans speaking)

“He’s a lovely horse but he’s very good at running second so I thought ‘oh another second again’, but it looked like Josh picked him up and threw him over the line.

“He normally travels so kindly but we’ve really done nothing with him since he ran two weeks ago in the Lexus so when he came out on to the track he was up and about but with the slow tempo I thought it might be his undoing but Josh was so good and managed to get him to settle, and that proved late.

“We like keeping them in working and ticking them over. He’s done nothing since he ran two weeks ago, just been out at our Fingal farm. Full credit to them and the team.

“I’m not sure what the plan is in two weeks time but I’m sure the Zipping has to be enticing. Whether we do that same again, see how he pulls up.”

Winning Jockey: Josh Richards

“He settled in behind and we let the first pair go. They probably went a bit too slow for him. Probably would have been better rolling along a a bit of a stronger tempo just when they pushed the button they were at him and he had to really dig in and he fought to the line well.”
